Northeast Conference Tournament Selection

March 06, 2013

Record: 53-47

Mount St. Mary's +3.5 vs. Bryant
The Northeast tournament gets underway this evening as teams try to get the conference automatic bid. The Mountaineers have won seven straight and nine of their last ten including a 14 point home victory over Bryant back on February 14th. Rashad Whack (13.4 ppg), Sam Prescott (10.8 ppg) and Julian Norfleet (10.8 ppg) lead the way for Mt. St. Mary's. The Bulldogs are the higher ranked team in this game despite having lost four of their last seven. They have lost three times at home all season including twice during the regular season.

USC +6 vs. Washington
The Trojans are one of the hottest teams in the PAC 12 as they head to Washington for their final two regular season games. USC has won two straight and six of their last eight games which includes road wins at UCLA and Stanford. They beat Washington back on February 10th 71-60 and are getting good play from Eric Wise (12.3 PPG) and J.T. Terrell (11.2 PPG). The Huskies are very inconsistent as a unit and go as C.J. Wilcox goes. He averages 17.3 points per game this season. Washington has lost eight of their last 12 including games at home against Utah, Arizona and Oregon. I think USC will keep it close and possibly even win the ballgame in Washington.
