Good luck to all of those in the northeast having to deal with the extreme amounts of snow. Of course this means, plenty of time for college basketball and handicapping. Saturday is always fun looking over the odds on BetBomb because there are so many games to look at. Here are the few I have selected:

Record: 28-20

Virginia Tech (Pick) vs. Georgia Tech
The Hokies have had a terrible season so far despite having the nation's leading scorer in Erick Green. This is a team that beat the Yellow Jackets in overtime in Atlanta. VT is currently on a five game losing streak. The common factor at least in the past few games is a fast start followed by a tailing off in the second half. This is a team that consistently gets good efforts from Green and Cadarian Raines. I think the Hokies take care of business at home against a Georgia Tech team that has not won away from their building.

Richmond (+4) vs. St. Louis
The Spiders should be at full strength for this one as they welcome back Derrick Williams to the paint. Good timing too as the Billikens come to town with their size inside. Richmond has lost just once at home this season and they are expecting a big crowd for this one. They are also coming off a week's rest and focus for a St. Louis team that had one of their worst defensive efforts in New York against Fordham on Wednesday. This sets up nicely for the Spiders who could win this one outright.

BYU (-12) vs. San Francisco
The Cougars return home after a tough loss at San Diego on Thursday. In comes San Francisco whom BYU beat back on January 5th 80-76. They have beaten WCC opponents at home by margins of 17, 17, 25, 41 along with a one point loss to St. Mary's. BYU is a deeper team then San Francisco with Tyler Haws and Brandon Davies accounting for nearly 40 points per game. The Dons are led by Cole Dickerson and Cody Doolin. SF is coming off a road win at Pepperdine a week ago so they will have rest on their side, but they will be walking into a buzzsaw this evening. Take BYU to get back on track.

Northern Arizona (-6) vs. Eastern Washington
NAU is on a two game win streak and looking for revenge after losing to EWU back on January 10th 82-59. In that game Venky Jois had 14 points and 14 rebounds. His availability is in question for this one as he continues to deal with an injury. The Lumberjacks have held serve at home for the most part this season and are playing good basketball right now. They are led by Gabe Rogers and Dewayne Russell who should have the advantage over the Eagles who are without Justin Crosgile, the team's leading scorer.
