Happy Martin Luther King Day to all of my readers. Because of the holiday we get afternoon college basketball starting at 3:30 in Syracuse. It's a light schedule so we'll give you a play today:
Montana State -4.5 vs. Southern Utah
The Bobcats are coming off a three game roadtrip which nearly concluded with a win over rival Montana. MSU has won four of their last six games and have a wealth of scoring options now that Christian Moon is eligible. Seven players on their team average at least eight points per game. Southern Utah meanwhile relies on two players who score nearly 31 points per game combined. The Thunderbirds have lost four straight and five of their last seven. They have not been a good road team winning just once at Northern Arizona. The balance of the Bobcats will be too much.
Baylor/Oklahoma State Over 132.5
The Ferrell Center will be rocking as Baylor gets to play a non division three opponent this afternoon. The Bears beat Hardin Simmons 107-38 while resting some of it's players. This should be a game played in at least the 60's as Baylor has been held to less then 65 just five times this season with only two of those coming at home. Oklahoma State has scored 62 or more in each of their road games this season. They don't mind playing with a bit of a quicker pace. This seems to be a bit too low of a total so we'll bite on the potential trap and take the over.
